Three hospitals for expats to be built in Qatar by 2017

August 15, 2016

Qatar is to build three new hospitals by 2017, the government’s Private Engineering Office (PEA) has announced.

The hospitals will reportedly be dedicated for expat workers in densely populated areas in the Central, South and North regions.

The hospitals in the Industrial Area, Mesaieed Industrial City and Ras Laffan will be completed and handed over to the Ministry of Health in the last quarter of 2016 and early 2017, the PEO said in a statement on news agency QNA.

It said the new facilities will provide workers with high quality healthcare closer to their communities. Each hospital will have 120 beds, a health centre, external clinic, emergency ward, reception areas, laboratories and other support services, in addition to green space and parking.
